Fresno and Clovis book pickup

What We Accept in Fresno and Clovis

If it is a book and it is still readable, chances are we will take it, along with plenty of media too.

An overhead flat-lay of accepted items: books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, vinyl, a puzzle, and a game controller

We keep the rules simple because the goal is reuse. Almost any book in reasonable condition has a next reader somewhere, and media like DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, and games ride along in the same pickup. Condition matters more than category: a title only reaches the end of the road when it is genuinely unusable.

Yes, with care, and the rare exception

  • Accepted: fiction, nonfiction, children's books, textbooks, cookbooks, reference, hardcover, and paperback.
  • Accepted with care: rare, signed, and collectible volumes, which we evaluate separately.
  • Also welcome: DVDs, CDs, VHS tapes, vinyl records, audiobooks, board games, puzzles, and video games.
  • The only exceptions: moldy, water-damaged, or heavily marked-up copies with no reading life left.

Have a pile that fits the list? You can arrange a collection in a couple of minutes.

For a typical household donation, the easiest option is to request a doorstep collection and leave the boxes by your door.

Because almost every book can find a reader, we lead with the reuse-first approach we follow and only set aside what truly cannot continue.

Special and collectible items

Rare, signed, and collectible volumes are welcome too; we simply evaluate them separately so they are handled with appropriate care. If you think an item may carry particular value, mention it when you schedule and we will set it aside for you to look over rather than assume.
